8. Chrome Extension Privacy

The SpeakerCure Chrome Extension ("SpeakerCure — Speaker Cleaner") operates with the following privacy practices:

• No data collection: The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
• Audio processing: All sound wave generation happens entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio is recorded or sent to any server.
• activeTab permission: Used solely to detect whether the user is currently on speakercure.com, in order to sync login state between the website and the extension. No browsing history is accessed or stored.
• Scripting permission: Used only to read the presence of a Supabase authentication token on speakercure.com to verify login status. No scripts are injected on any other website.
• No remote code: The extension does not execute any remotely hosted code. All logic runs locally from the installed extension files.
• Local storage: The extension uses the browser's localStorage only to remember login state locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
